'New Development Bank is The Bank': Business Alliance Official From Zimbabwe
"When you are considering that we are going into a multipolar system right now, the New Development Bank should just come [out] above [on] tops," Teverai Chigogo, Chairperson of BRICS Women's Business Alliance in Zimbabwe, told Sputnik Africa on the sidelines of the BRICS Women's Entrepreneurship Forum in Moscow.
For a truly multipolar system to emerge, Chigogo argues the NDB must prioritize empowering women entrepreneurs by:
🟠deliberately engaging with international central banks to secure funding;
🟠engaging with national central banks to structure facilities for women.
Chigogo highlighted Africa's abundant resources – solar energy, land, and people – but emphasized the need for financing, which she believed the NDB could provide.
