Ethiopia's Bold Reform Agenda Pays Off: Over $1.6 Bln Secured in Landmark Investment Forum
The Invest in Ethiopia 2025 High-Level Business Forum, held in Addis Ababa, highlighted the country's economic reforms.
"There has never been a more opportune moment to invest in our nation," Finance Minister Ahmed Shide stated.
Five major investment deals signed:
⦁ Sesar Energy Advancing Solutions: $250M for local solar energy;
⦁ Hanergy New Energy & Jandu: $360M for solar cell manufacturing;
⦁ Huawei Mining Processing: ~$500M for mineral exploration, processing, and a minerals-focused SEZ;
⦁ Sequa Mining & Processing (Ethio-China JV): $600M for coal mining;
⦁ Toyo Solar Manufacturing: $14M to expand solar cell capacity.
