Everything Now Ready for Russia-Ukraine Negotiations in Istanbul
Istanbul is now waiting for specifics from the parties, a Turkish diplomatic source told Sputnik.
Moscow and Kiev may hold a series of meetings in Istanbul, depending on the outcome of the first possible meeting, deputy chairman for foreign relations of Turkey's ruling AKP party, Halil Korkmaz, noted.
"It is quite possible that the talks may result in an agreement to continue the process to end the conflict," he suggested in an interview with Sputnik.
Moscow will officially unveil the details of its participation in the upcoming talks, Russian FM spokeswoman Maria Zakharova stated to Sputnik.
Russia's preparations are underway, and the delegation will be announced when appropriate, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said a day earlier.
