Morocco Kicks Off Construction on New Logistics Platform for Emergency Relief
King Mohammed VI launched construction work on the platform in the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region on Wednesday.
The initiative aims to:
🟠 boost the nation's ability to handle crises;
🟠 expedite the distribution of critical resources.
The site covers 20 hectares and has received an investment of approximately $31.1 million.
Key features include:
🟠 four 5,000 m² warehouses;
🟠 facilities for large equipment;
🟠 a helipad.
The platform is expected to be operational within 12 months.
The modern infrastructure will enable the efficient storage and management of essential supplies, ensuring a swift response to natural disasters and other emergencies.
