Guarding Truth in Age of AI: Namibia's President Vows to Protect Press Freedom
The press plays an important role in democracy as "the fourth arm of government," Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah said on the occasion of World Press Freedom Day, observed annually on May 3.
"With the rise of technology and the disruptive potential of Artificial Intelligence, the press is expected to inform on the basis of facts and to educate the public, appreciating the critical role it plays in the promotion of good governance," she stated.

⦁ the government reaffirms its support for media freedom through laws, promoting transparency and accountability;
