The academician also discussed the academy's engagement with BRICS, mentioning the upcoming BRICS Academy meeting in Brazil and the academy's participation in the BRICS Science Network workshop held in Addis Ababa.
"The collaborations and networking that is already started through the umbrella of BRICS have to expand in the strength," Prof. Yohannes stated.
Reflecting on his personal experience as a chemist educated by Russian professors in Ethiopia, Prof. Yohannes expressed his belief in the potential of BRICS collaboration to elevate scientific endeavors from their current nascent stage to a more impactful level. He advocated for translating discussions into concrete actions and practical applications.
