Lavrov Meets With His Ethiopian Counterpart Gedion Timotheos in Rio de Janeiro
Earlier, the Russian FM held meetings with the Brazilian Foreign Minister, Mauro Vieira, and the Chinese Foreign Minister, Wang Yi.
Lavrov arrived in Rio de Janeiro the day before to participate in a meeting of the foreign ministers of the BRICS countries.
Brazil assumed the chairmanship of BRICS on January 1. Last year, Russia held the chairmanship, with the key event being the XVI Summit in Kazan.
