Russia-South Africa Ties Key to Africa’s Future, Says Algerian Expert
Russia-South Africa cooperation is especially important within BRICS, Algerian political science professor and Africa affairs expert Buhniya Kaviy told Sputnik.
"Cooperation with Russia holds a special place in South Africa’s foreign policy," he said.
Highlighting the historical context, he added:
"The West, on the other hand, has long exploited the continent for selfish purposes, so Westerners are associated by Africans with invaders pursuing imperialist interests."
Kaviy noted that Moscow’s growing partnerships across Africa, particularly in economic and military fields, reflect a shift toward genuine, mutually beneficial relations.
