Africa Empowers Quality Education Through Technology and Global Collaboration, Ethiopian Official Says
"To improve quality, we need skilled manpower, including instructors, educators, teachers, and leaders. Technology can improve the quality of education," CEO for ICT and Digital Education of Ethiopia's Education Ministry Zelalem Assefa told Sputnik Africa.
Africa already has education partnerships with the Global South, particularly BRICS, the official noted on the sidelines of the Innovation Africa 2025 Ministerial Summit for Education, ICT & Skills held in Addis Ababa.
"We are exchanging information and technologies for the higher education sector and learning experience and doing research together," he pointed out.
Cooperation with Russia includes:
⦁scholarships;
⦁higher education initiatives;
⦁exploring relevant technologies from Russian companies to be implemented in Ethiopia.
