Kiev Will 'Certainly Not' Observe Easter Truce Offered by Moscow: Journo
Russia is making a gesture of "goodwill," in accordance with Orthodox values, but Ukraine has already failed to respect the ceasefire on energy infrastructure, Christelle Néant, a French journalist working in Donbass, told Sputnik Africa.
"Kiev is not even capable of respecting a 30-day ceasefire on a certain type of infrastructure, as Russia's Permanent Representative to the UN Vasily Nebenzia pointed out. There is no point in discussing a general ceasefire or a long-term ceasefire," she emphasized.
For its part, Russia has done "its utmost to avoid civilian casualties" since the beginning of the conflict and has fully respected this ceasefire on energy infrastructure, she pointed out.
