"The ball is now in Ukraine's court. It would be extremely inappropriate for Kiev to violate this
ceasefire instead of accepting it under the present conditions,"
French journalist Laurent Brayard told
Sputnik Africa. According to the speaker, Kiev's actions on the ground may differ.
"As far as Russia is concerned, I know that orders will be respected. Any violators will be punished. As for Kiev, the situation is likely to be more complicated, given the banditry of this army," he emphasized.
Amid peace negotiations with Washington, the gesture is also a signal to the Trump administration that Moscow is ready to move forward, the journalist added.
