Bolstering Sahel Joint Force Creation: AES Air Force Chiefs Visit Mali's Military College
The visit "epitomizes the determination of military leaders to prepare a unified military elite ready to address the security challenges of the Sahel," the Malian army said in a press release.
The discussions among the chiefs of staff complemented this week's meeting of senior officers held in Ouagadougou and contributed to building a joint AES force, noted General Oumar Dao, commander of the college.
"We have received encouraging messages from the chiefs of staff to both professors and students. These words further mobilize our strength to go forward in the operational training we provide," the general noted.
The Mali Military College in Bamako currently hosts 14 students from Mali, five from Burkina Faso and five from Niger.
