The gear allows highly accurate terrain mapping—vital for military strategy, disaster response, and urban planning.
“Uganda and Russia have maintained strong ties, especially in military cooperation dating back to Uganda’s independence,” Uganda’s Army underscored.
This follows the 2023 launch of PRO HELI, a Uganda–Russia joint venture for helicopter maintenance and overhaul.
The Uganda–Russia partnership also spans training, research, and technology.
