Russia Assists Niger in Combating Fistulas
The NGO "Ensemble Main dans la Main Niger-Russie" (Together Hand in Hand Niger-Russia) has made a significant donation to address the issue of fistulas—abnormal connections or passages that form between two organs or between an organ and the skin.
Established to foster friendship and strengthen ties between Russia and Niger, the organization recently visited the National Reference Center for Obstetric Fistula in Niamey, reported a Sputnik Africa's correspondent.
The donation included:
Medications
Food supplies
Blankets
Vaccines
These resources aim to enhance the living conditions and care for women affected by this often-isolating condition.
This initiative reflects the NGO's dedication to supporting vulnerable populations and improving healthcare access for all, as explained by Amadou Tidjani Maman, a representative of the association, to Sputnik Africa.
