‘Western Officials Act Like There’s No Consequence’ – Ex-CIA Officer on Strike in Sumy
Retired CIA and State Department official Larry Johnson called reports that Western military personnel were present at the targeted Ukrainian command meeting in Sumy “credible.”
“I find sort of amazing is the patience of Russia in putting up with this now for more than three years,” he told Sputnik.
Johnson also pointed out that if Russia were acting this way in, say, Mexico — aiding enemies of the US — Washington would consider it an act of war.
Furthermore, he criticized Western leaders for thinking they can “act with impunity” without facing consequences, adding that some of their own homelands might not remain off-limits forever.
