MOSCOW (Sputnik) - Russia and the United States will coordinate their plans on the deadlines for completing the operation of the International Space Station (ISS), Bakanov added.
Russian state space corporation Roscosmos Director General Dmitry Bakanov said on Saturday that he planned to meet with NASA Chief Jared Isaacman to announce joint plans.
"He and I will definitely meet and announce our plans," Bakanov told reporters.
"We have agreed that we will synchronize all the deadlines. Since we launch joint crews, joint cross-flights, it would not be right to disrupt the calendar plan," he said.
Bakanov added that it was important to guarantee a smooth transition in the Russian manned spaceflight program, so that the ISS would be immediately replaced by a Russian orbital station.
