The Russian House in Niamey Celebrates Cosmonautics Day
A documentary about Yuri Gagarin, the first man in space, was screened for the occasion.
For the House's general director, the Russian cosmonaut's feat is a source of inspiration for Nigeriens:
"This will truly allow Nigeriens to see how powerful nations have become powerful nations," Ahmed Bello explained to Sputnik Africa. "We are all human beings, we just need to get to work."
