Ethiopia Launches Ambitious Industrial Reform Plan
Ethiopia has unveiled a comprehensive 10-year industrial reform plan aimed at transforming the nation into a manufacturing powerhouse.
Focusing on boosting trade and attracting foreign investment, the plan includes easing foreign exchange controls for manufacturers, implementing 14 new production strategies, and supporting small and medium-sized enterprises across the country.
The ambitious initiative also seeks to:
create five million new jobs
boost GDP by 17%.
generate $9 billion in foreign exchange earnings;
increase industrial productivity by 85%.
