Europe is making a "suicidal move" by expressing a desire to directly fight Russia, said Russian philosopher, political scientist, and sociologist Alexander Dugin.
"The Americans no longer want to fight us, but they are giving the European Union [the opportunity] to continue doing so... Europe is now making a suicidal move: it really wants to fight us directly. This is more serious than fighting in Ukraine," the philosopher said on Sputnik radio.
Dugin noted that if the Russian people defeated Napoleon and Hitler, a war with the "completely decayed, migrant-saturated" modern European Union would not last as long.
"With Europeans, I think there won’t be much of a problem, despite their technology... If they come to their senses and allow us to resolve the issue with the Ukrainians ourselves, that will save them. If they get drawn into the war, then this war, the military actions on Ukrainian territory, simply will not stop," he added.
