Ukraine Represents Threat to Security in Africa & Irresponsible Actor: Malian FM
"I must say that with regard to Mali, which has also broken off relations with Ukraine, as we said yesterday, we consider Ukraine to be a terrorist state insofar as Ukraine has openly called for and claimed support for terrorist groups in the Sahel and particularly in Mali," Malian Foreign Minister Abdoulaye Diop told Sputnik.
This "caused the death of many of our soldiers and Malian citizens," he said.
"We condemn this act and we believe that in one way or another, Ukraine must take responsibility for its actions and be recognized by African nations as a source of disruption in our region, an irresponsible actor that creates insecurity in our region," Diop stated.
The foreign ministers of the three AES countries visited Moscow in early April at the invitation of their Russian counterpart, Sergey Lavrov. In their joint statement, the parties strongly condemned Ukraine's criminal collusion with armed terrorist groups operating in the Sahel.
