No One Builds Oil Pipelines Better Than Russia, Head of African Energy Chamber Says
The Russian oil pipeline project in the Republic of the Congo is very promising, NJ Ayuk, Executive Chairman of the African Energy Chamber, told Sputnik.
Ayuk said that the project is currently in the research phase and that further steps will be taken after its completion.
The pipeline will be a unique solution, he explained, as it will allow for the delivery of oil products directly from the Pointe-Noire region, where active production is taking place, to the capital city of Brazzaville, which is currently experiencing an energy deficit. Additionally, gas transportation will be organized in parallel.
The chairman expressed hope for Russian involvement in the project and recommended Russian specialists for their reliability, technological expertise, and efficiency in highway construction.
In September 2024, the Russian government approved a draft agreement on the construction of an oil pipeline in the Congo.
