Running from April 3 to 5 under the theme 'Unlocking the Power of Youth for a Prosperous Africa,' the Pan-African Youth Leadership Summit kicked off at Ethiopia’s Adwa Victory Memorial Museum, bringing together young leaders, government officials, and AU representatives.
Speakers on the summit’s opening day set a bold tone:
President Taye Atseke Selassie rooted his address in Africa’s liberation struggles, urging youth to build on that legacy through wisdom and knowledge.
AU Deputy Chairperson Selma Malika Haddadi emphasized the need for "game-changing ideas" to drive Africa’s growth, calling on young leaders to take action today, not just in the future.
