Africa is a "huge cultural layer that continues to attract interest and success," the director of the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts in Moscow, Olga Galaktionova, said. African culture is highly valued in Russia, but there are many aspects of it that are still unknown, Galaktionova told Russian media. She emphasized that contemporary African art, in particular, deserves to be shown because few people are familiar with it. Although no projects have been implemented yet, there is progress on this matter, the director added.
