MOSCOW (Sputnik) - The Ukrainian armed forces continue to strike Russian energy infrastructure, on Wednesday facilities in the Bryansk Region and Crimea were attacked, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Thursday.
"Despite the statements of the Kiev regime on allegedly stopping strikes against Russian energy facilities, the Ukrainian armed forces kept on striking energy infrastructure over the past 24 hours," the statement read.
On Wednesday, at around 17:00 Moscow time (14:00 GMT), a high-voltage line was cut in the Bryansk Region due to a Ukrainian drone attack on a Bryanskenergo object. Power supply was cut off to consumers in the Klimovsky district. Additionally, on Thursday morning, the complete transformer substation in the Bryansk Region was disabled by targeted artillery shelling, the statement read.
"Also, at about 17:00, Russian air defense forces over the territory of Crimea in the area of Cape Tarkhankut shot down a Ukrainian aircraft type unmanned aerial vehicle that attacked the surface facility of the Glebovsky underground gas storage facility," the ministry said.
