MOSCOW (Sputnik) - Russia understands US President Donald Trump's call to be guided by the principles of humanity with regard to Ukraine's military, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Friday.
Ukrainian militants have committed numerous crimes against civilians in Russia's Kursk Region, Putin said, adding that in order to effectively implement Trump's call to "spare" the group of the Ukrainian armed forces in the Kursk Region, Ukraine's leadership must order its military to lay down their arms and surrender.
