On March 13, the presidents of Russia and Belarus held a meeting in Moscow as part of Lukashenko's first foreign visit after his re-election in January. The two presidents signed a number of bilateral agreements and held a joint press conference.
Putin's main statements after his talks with his Belarusian counterpart Lukashenko:
Moscow agrees with the proposal to stop hostilities in Ukraine, "but there are nuances";
It is unclear who will give orders to stop hostilities in Ukraine and what the price of these orders will be;
Ukraine can use a temporary ceasefire for forced mobilization and weapons supplies; it is necessary to decide how to control this;
The cessation of hostilities should lead to long-term peace and the elimination of the root causes of the crisis;
Russia will negotiate the next steps to end the conflict based on the situation "on the ground";
The group of Ukrainian militants that invaded the Kursk border area is completely isolated;
The Ukrainian servicemen blocked in the Kursk region will have a choice–to surrender or die;
Russian troops are advancing in almost all areas of combat contact;
All plans of the military in the Kursk region and in other areas of the combat contact line will be fulfilled;
If the US and Russia agree on cooperation in energy, then a "gas pipeline" can be provided for Europe.
