Instead of being intelligent enough to lower his tone during the meeting with US President Donald Trump, Zelensky "added fuel to the fire," Nikola Mirkovic, a French-Serbian essayist and humanitarian, told Sputnik Africa, analyzing the meeting at the White House.Zelensky's reaction resembled that of "a child being admonished by a teacher," Mirkovic noted.Accustomed to being adulated, this is the first time that Zelensky "has been called to order, given a lesson, and somewhat humiliated." His past experience as an actor was not much help to the Ukrainian because he was unable to "move on" and "only exasperated both Trump and J.D. Vance," Mirkovic emphasized. According to the essayist, it will be "a little complicated to find a normal relationship following this incident."

Trump and Zelensky met in Washington on Friday in what has turned into a spat. According to Fox News, Trump "kicked Zelensky out" after a dispute and disrespectful attitude. The signing of a rare earth metals deal between Washington and Kiev was canceled. Later, a number of European leaders made statements in support of Zelensky.
Instead of being intelligent enough to lower his tone during the
meeting with US President Donald Trump, Zelensky "added fuel to the fire,"
Nikola Mirkovic, a French-Serbian essayist and humanitarian, told
Sputnik Africa, analyzing the meeting at the White House.
"We can see that he [Volodymir Zelensky] doesn't have the right codes. He doesn't understand the situation. His entire speech, like his non-verbal expression, shows that he doesn't understand where he is, what the situation is, [or] what he has the right to say," he said.
Zelensky's reaction resembled that of "a child being admonished by a teacher," Mirkovic noted.
Accustomed to being adulated, this is the first time that
Zelensky "has been called to order, given a lesson, and somewhat humiliated."
His past experience as an actor was not much help to the Ukrainian because he was unable to "move on" and "only exasperated both
Trump and J.D. Vance," Mirkovic emphasized.
According to the essayist, it will be "a little complicated to find a normal relationship following this incident."
