The foreign ministries of Jordan and Egypt issued statements on Sunday rejecting the attempt by the Sudanese Rapid Support Forces (RSF) and other paramilitaries to form a parallel government, opposing Sudan's authorities.Jordan also affirmed its support for efforts to resolve the Sudanese crisis in a way that preserves the security, stability, sovereignty, and safety of its citizens.Meanwhile, the Egyptian diplomacy expressed the same view in its statement, stressing that the actions of RSF paramilitaries and their allies contribute to exacerbating the humanitarian situation in Sudan.On February 22, the RSF rebels, alongside allied political groups and armed movements, signed a political charter in Nairobi, Kenya, to establish a parallel government opposing the current Sudanese authorities.

Jordan and Egypt joined wider regional condemnation of a move by Sudan's Rapid Support Forces movement and its allies to set up a rival government, as Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Kuwait also voiced their opposition last week.
The foreign ministries of Jordan and Egypt issued statements on Sunday rejecting the attempt by the Sudanese Rapid Support Forces (RSF) and other paramilitaries to form a parallel government, opposing
Sudan's authorities.
"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that the kingdom [Jordan] rejects attempts that may threaten to undermine the unity of the brotherly Republic of Sudan by calling for the formation of a parallel Sudanese government, which will hinder efforts to reach a solution to the Sudanese crisis," the statement by Jordan's Foreign Ministry read.
Jordan also affirmed its support for efforts to resolve the Sudanese crisis in a way that preserves the security, stability, sovereignty, and safety of its citizens.
Meanwhile, the Egyptian diplomacy expressed the same view in its statement, stressing that the actions of RSF paramilitaries and their allies contribute to exacerbating the humanitarian situation in Sudan.
"The Arab Republic of Egypt calls on all Sudanese forces to uphold the supreme national interest of the country and to engage positively in launching an inclusive political process, without exclusion or foreign interventions," the Egyptian Foreign Ministry added.
