Moscow Demands Reaction From Int'l Structures to Ukrainian Attack on Reporters, FM Spox Says
09:33 15.02.2025 (Updated: 10:59 17.02.2025) MOSCOW (Sputnik) - On Friday, the Russian Kursk region's acting governor, Alexander Khinshtein, said a Channel One film crew had been attacked by the Ukrainian military and a cameraman was injured.
Moscow
demands that the international community and relevant international structures condemn Kiev's attack on the Russian Channel One film crew; the perpetrators will be punished, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said.
"We demand that relevant international organizations, primarily UNESCO Director-General Audrey Azoulay, OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media Jan Braathu, UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Turk, as well as other supranational human rights structures, immediately respond to yet another heinous crime of the Kiev regime and resolutely condemn it," Zakharova said in a comment published on the website of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
Moscow also calls on all responsible governments to condemn the Ukrainian terrorist attacks, Zakharova added.
"We call on all responsible governments of states to condemn the terrorist attacks of the Kiev regime and publicly oppose the attacks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on civilians, including media representatives," she noted.
She said the perpetrators will be identified and brought to account.
