Russian FM Lavrov Holds Meeting With His Sudanese Counterpart Al-Sharif

During his three-day visit to Moscow, Sudanese Foreign Minister al-Sharif is expected to discuss with his Russian counterpart "prospects for the development of bilateral relations in the political, economic and cultural spheres," Sudanese Ambassador to Russia Mohammed Elghazali Eltigani Sirrag told Sputnik.

Heads of the Russian and Sudanese diplomacies are expected to hold a joint press conference after bilateral talks.
Sudan's foreign minister arrived in Moscow on Monday and met with Russian Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology Alexander Kozlov, who co-chairs the Russian-Sudanese Intergovernmental Commission for Trade and Economic Cooperation, where the two sides agreed to hold its next meeting in April.
Al-Sharif was also scheduled to meet with senior members of the State Duma, the lower house of the Russian parliament, and a number of Russian state officials, according to the Sudanese government spokesman.
