Egypt strongly criticized the idea of establishing a Palestinian state on Saudi territory, describing it as "irresponsible."The comments were made after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu jokingly alluded to the possibility. The Egyptian Foreign Ministry called such comments a "direct infringement of Saudi sovereignty" and a "reprehensible aggression," affirming that Saudi security is a "red line" for Egypt.Recently, US President Donald Trump proposed that the US take control of Gaza, displace Palestinians to other countries, and develop the area into a "Riviera." This plan contradicts the Arab world's push for a two-state solution and Palestinian statehood, and has been widely condemned as destabilizing. While Trump claimed Saudi Arabia didn't require Palestinian statehood for normalization with Israel, Saudi Arabia refuted this. Trump has since stated that he is not in a hurry to implement the plan.
