Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed support for Brazil's chairmanship of BRICS during a telephone conversation with Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, the Brazilian presidential office said in a statement Monday. Brazil's chairmanship of BRICS during a telephone conversation with Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, the Brazilian presidential office said in a statement Monday.
"Putin expressed support for Brazil's BRICS chairmanship and expressed readiness to continue working to promote trade and investment facilitation initiatives among the members [of the association]," the statement said.
