Miscalculations and illegal actions by Western countries have significantly contributed to the growth of terrorism in Africa, Vassily Nebenzia, Russia's permanent representative to the UN, said. The head of the Russian diplomatic mission noted that the hypocrisy and double standards of certain countries in the question of counter-terrorism are "clearly evident in the Sahel, where Mali, Niger, Burkina Faso, and other states are combating international terrorism almost single-handedly."Nebenzia also reminded about information from African states and European law enforcement officials regarding the weapons supplied by Western countries to Ukraine ending up in the hands of criminal and terrorist groups in various regions of the world.
