Ethiopian and Iranian parliamentary chairmen, Tagesse Chafo and Mohammed Baqer Qalibaf, agreed to enhance cooperation between their legislative bodies.The Iranian parliament speaker arrived in Addis Ababa today for an official visit, where he was welcomed by Tagesse Chafo and other Ethiopian officials. The agenda of Qalibaf's visit includes touring development projects and meetings with government leaders to discuss bilateral and multilateral cooperation.Tagesse noted the delegation's visit would strengthen ties, building on existing diplomatic and cultural links, while Qalibaf affirmed his dedication to furthering cooperation between Ethiopia and Iran.The two sides also pledged to enhance parliamentary cooperation, supplementing strong ties in trade, investment, tourism and technology transfer.
