Africa is an important pole in the modern world and one of the priorities of Chinese diplomacy, the Chinese leader said in September.
Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi will visit Namibia, the Republic of Congo, Chad and Nigeria from January 5 to 11, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning said at a briefing on Friday.
“A member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party and Chinese foreign Minister Wang Yi will visit Namibia, the Republic of Congo, Chad and Nigeria from January 5 to 11 by invitation,” the diplomat said.
In September, Chinese President Xi Jinping said Beijing is ready to deepen strategic mutual trust and strengthen business cooperation with African countries.
He also noted that China is ready to stand together with African countries for an equal and orderly multipolar world, inclusive economic globalization that benefits all, as well as jointly protect international justice and impartiality.
