The Ethiopian National Dialogue Commission, an independent federal institution, aims to facilitate national consensus by researching divisions, conducting dialogue, and recommending solutions, including implementation monitoring.
The Ethiopian National Dialogue Commission called on stakeholders to prioritize agendas that promote nation-building, local media reported.
Professor Mesfen Araya, ENDC Chief Commissioner, stressed the importance of stakeholder input during the national consultation in Adama, Oromia, involving over 1,700 participants, including former Oromo Liberation Army members.
Mesfen also emphasized the ENDC's commitment to resolving disputes through dialogue, its neutral role, and the public's understanding of its mission. He stated that the forum was collecting agendas from 320 diverse representatives. Further, he urged stakeholders to create agendas that benefit both the region and the nation, stressing the role of the consultation in establishing a new, trust-based political system.
