A recent archaeological exploration in Egri-Mekel, Eritrea, has yielded significant discoveries, including ancient human remains and various artifacts.
An archaeological exploration in Egri-Mekel, approximately 7 kilometers southwest of Mendefera, was conducted between December 9 and 18, and led by experts from the East African country's Culture and Sports Commission, according to local media.
Dr. Abraham Zeray, an archaeological expert, reported the discovery of two sets of human remains, along with pottery and assorted ornaments. The burial style suggests the remains predate the arrival of Christianity in Eritrea, although further analysis is needed to precisely determine their age.
