MOSCOW (Sputnik) - On December 11, the Hungarian prime minister expressed to Russian President Vladimir Putin the idea of a prisoner exchange between Russia and Ukraine and a Christmas ceasefire. The proposal was also brought to Zelensky through diplomatic channels, but he "rejected and ruled it out," the prime minister said.
Ukraine's Volodymyr Zelensky should take responsibility for whether to accept the idea of a Christmas truce or not, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said on Wednesday.

"We will not respond to any provocation. There is a ceasefire proposal on the table. Take it or leave it. It is your responsibility," Orban said on X.

Orban made this statement in response to Zelensky's remarks made on Tuesday about not "letting" Orban act as a mediator in negotiations to resolve the Ukraine conflict.
Meanwhile, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Zelensky's rudeness towards the Hungarian prime minister demonstrates not only the dangerous and criminal nature of the Kiev regime but also Zelensky's extreme lack of culture.
