Electoral Commission of Namibia (ECN) Commissioner, Gerson Sindano, has described the 2024 elections as a milestone in democracy and called for unity moving forward.
Sindano made the remarks during the announcement of the 2024 Presidential and National Assembly results Tuesday evening.
He praised voters for their determination, saying their efforts have made history.
“Your commitment to stand in the heat and cast your votes shows the strength of our democracy,” he said.
He added that the elections are more than just a contest between winners and losers, but are also a reflection of Namibia’s values and hopes for the future.
