US President-elect Donald Trump is very concerned about the recent escalation in the Ukraine conflict and its development, Congressman Mike Waltz, whom Trump appointed his national security advisor, told Fox News on Sunday. The incoming national security advisor added that the situation is getting more serious as the number of parties involved is growing. For instance, he mentioned alleged North Korean troops' participation in the conflict and pointed out that South Korea is thinking about "getting involved," while US allies have "extended the range of their missiles as well." Earlier in the day, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Biden's outgoing administration is doing everything it can to escalate the Ukraine conflict and keep it going.

Trump 'Very Concerned' About Ukrainian Conflict Escalation, Incoming Security Advisor Says
08:18 25.11.2024 (Updated: 09:55 25.11.2024) WASHINGTON (Sputnik) - The incoming national security advisor called US President Joe Biden's administration decision to let Ukraine strike deep into Russia and Russia's response with the Oreshnik missile strike a "clear escalation" and recalled Trump's determination to end this conflict.
US President-elect Donald Trump is very concerned about the recent escalation in the Ukraine conflict and its development, Congressman Mike Waltz, whom Trump appointed his national security advisor, told Fox News on Sunday.
"The president-elect has been very concerned about the escalation and where it’s all going," Waltz said when asked about Trump's reaction to the crisis escalation.
The incoming national security advisor added that the situation is getting more serious as the number of
parties involved is growing. For instance, he mentioned alleged North Korean troops' participation in the conflict and pointed out that South Korea is thinking about "getting involved," while US allies have "extended the range of their missiles as well."
"We need to bring this [conflict] to a responsible end. We need to restore deterrence, restore peace, and get ahead of this escalation ladder rather than responding to it," Waltz said.
Earlier in the day, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Biden's outgoing administration is doing everything it can to
escalate the Ukraine conflict and keep it going.
