On Thursday, Vladimir Putin stated that the Russian armed forces launched a combined attack on a Ukrainian military-industrial complex facility in response to the use of US and UK weapons. This attack, he said, included a test of a new Russian medium-range missile system, a nuclear-free hypersonic ballistic missile dubbed "Oreshnik."
Putin’s order to use Russia's new Oreshnik ballistic missile in the zone of special military operation is a signal to NATO, especially to its European members, Chinese military blogger Sima Pingbang told Sputnik.

"The threat of a world war is growing, and I fear that Europe will suffer the most in this regard," Sima Pingbang said.

He noted that Vladimir Putin’s statement that the US, not Russia, is destroying the global security system indicates that Moscow is not afraid of increased escalation. At the same time, Pingbang added that the Ukrainian government makes irrational decisions, and its leader Volodymyr Zelensky looks like US President Joe Biden's puppet.
"In fact, Zelensky’s administration has become an obstacle to peace. Biden and Zelensky are unable to accept peace between Russia and Ukraine and cannot acknowledge Moscow's victory," the expert concluded.
