MOSCOW (Sputnik) - Russia values relations with both China and India and will never dictate to them what to do, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Tuesday.
"But of course, being a friend of New Delhi and a friend of Beijing, we are ready to contribute in every possible and every demanded way to normalizations between our two friends," Peskov said at the meeting "New opportunities for cooperation between Indian and Russian media: strengthening ties between the peoples of India and Russia," headed by Sputnik.
India is under unprecedented pressure from the United States in the context of relations with Russia; however, Moscow is confident that New Delhi will manage to get rid of it, Peskov added.
"We know pretty well and we understand it that India is facing unprecedented pressure. Unprecedented, sometimes unpardonable pressure coming from the United States. The United States is trying to dictate to Indian banks what to do and what not to do," Peskov said.
The military cooperation between Russia and India is a good sign that demonstrates the trusting relationship between Moscow and New Delhi, he added.

"First of all, it is a good sign of a special character of our bilateral relations. Because only countries that are quite close to each other in their bilateral relations can be in such a deep military interaction. Well, of course we are speaking about very sophisticated systems, high technologies. Every country is looking for the best, for cheaper prices. I am not a specialist, it is not my field of specialization. But I have no doubt insisting that our production is the best. And that our production is for affordable prices," Peskov said.

The difficulties in the Russia-Indian relations due to US pressure, but the states are ready to jointly seek ways to overcome illegitimate restrictions, Peskov added.
Russia and India, as BRICS members, are bound by a "unity of the vision of the nature of international relations," the Kremlin spokesman noted.

"We have no doubt that India respects Russia and India values cooperation with Russia, but at the same time we understand very well that India is a sovereign country. There are quite few countries in this world that can afford to be sovereign. India is a sovereign country," Peskov said at the meeting.

The relations between Russia and India are developing in all possible spheres, and especially trade is flourishing now. Moscow is ready to share with New Delhi its best practices in high-tech, including nuclear technology, Peskov said.
Furthermore, he went on to say that Moscow expects to coordinate the dates of Russian President Vladimir Putin's visit to India in the near future.
"Well, I hope soon ... we will work out the precise dates of his visit," Peskov said.
