"These missiles will not be able to make a significant contribution to the military actions of the enemy... It is not so important who and when made the decision to use tactical ballistic and long-range cruise missiles of NATO countries 'deep into the territory' of Russia. Moreover, there have already been attempts to use them against our country," Medvedev said on Telegram. The current US administration is deliberately creating an escalation of the conflict, which the team of US President-elect Donald Trump will have to deal with, Medvedev said. The use of NATO missiles can be qualified as an attack on Russia, which gives it the right to respond with weapons of mass destruction against Kiev, Medvedev concluded.

Allowing Long-Range Missile Strikes Will Not Contribute to Kiev's Victory, Russia's Ex-Leader Says
11:54 19.11.2024 (Updated: 15:14 20.11.2024) MOSCOW (Sputnik) - Allowing long-range missile strikes will not be able to make a significant contribution to Kiev's military actions, as there have already been attempts to use NATO long-range missiles on Russian territory, Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev said on Tuesday.
"After the dust raised by Western newspapers has settled a little, it is obvious that, despite the obvious propaganda intent of the publications, what is happening can have very serious consequences," Medvedev said.
The use of NATO missiles can be qualified as an attack on Russia, which gives it the right to respond with weapons of mass destruction against Kiev, Medvedev concluded.
