MOSCOW (Sputnik) - Last week, Sudanese Energy Minister Mohi El-Din Naeem Mohamed visited Russia accompanied by heads of the Sudanese oil companies. He also met with Russian Energy Minister Sergey Tsivilev to discuss the prospects of joint projects.
Sudan has agreed on a strategic partnership with several large Russian energy companies, Sudanese Energy Minister Mohi El-Din Naeem Mohamed told Sputnik on Tuesday.

"We were at the meeting with [Russian Energy Minister Sergey Tsivilev] and agreed that [Russian oil giant] Rosneft, the Power Engineering energy company, and other large oil producers will be our strategic partners in the Sudanese oil sector," he said.
