Dakar shows interest in the increase of the number of quotas for Senegalese students in Russia, Minister of Higher Education, Research and Innovation El Hadji Abdourahmane Diouf told Sputnik on the sidelines of the first Russia-Africa ministerial conference. The minister noted that this year Russia provided 100 quotas for Senegalese students, and it is 25 more than last year. He added that Senegal would like to receive even more, because many people there want to study in Russia. The official underscored that Senegal intends to expand cooperation with Russia in education, especially in the field of exact sciences. Earlier, Kirill Bogomolov, Deputy Head of Russian humanitarian cooperation agency Rossotrudnichestvo, said that Russia will allocate 4,816 state-funded places for students from Africa in 2025.
