Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed the bill on the ratification of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Agreement between Russia and North Korea into law, according to a document published on the legal information portal on Saturday. The agreement was made on June 19 during Putin's visit to Pyongyang. It is aimed at replacing the Treaty of Friendship, Good Neighborliness and Cooperation between Russia and North Korea signed in 2000. The new agreement will enter into force as soon as Moscow and Pyongyang exchange instruments of ratification and will be permanent.
