MOSCOW (Sputnik) - The comprehensive agreement signed by Vladimir Putin and Kim Jong Un during the state visit of the Russian president to North Korea aims at strengthening friendship, cooperation, promoting peace and prosperity for both countries, emphasizing their commitment to multilateralism, international law, opposing hegemonic aspirations.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed the bill on the ratification of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Agreement between Russia and North Korea into law, according to a document published on the legal information portal on Saturday.
The agreement was made on June 19 during Putin's visit to Pyongyang. It is aimed at replacing the Treaty of Friendship, Good Neighborliness and Cooperation between Russia and North Korea signed in 2000.
