Russian mobile laboratories can provide easier access to remote locations as well as increased diagnostic possibilities, the Gabonese Health Ministry's Health Development Department's head emphasized.
While rural residents in many regions of Gabon often struggle to access healthcare, options such as the mobile clinic proposed by the Russian Ministry of Health could provide innovative solutions, Gabonese Health Ministry's Health Development Department's head, Armel Boubindji Nzobaba told Sputnik Africa on the sidelines of the first Russia-Africa Partnership Forum's Ministerial Conference.
"There are a number of areas of interest to Gabon, and we are in discussions with the Russian health authorities to see how they can support Gabon in acquiring equipment, training our staff, or transferring technology or expertise to the country," Nzobaba explained.
Russia has enough experience and quality facilities to host Gabonese students and young doctors to train them in increasingly advanced specialities, he added.
