The US presidential election is scheduled for November 5. Vice President Kamala Harris, representing the Democrats, and Republican candidate Donald Trump are both vying for the presidency.
The US election is taking place in a context that is no longer as favorable to Washington, while global realities are shifting, Pan-African activist and political analyst Patient Parfait N'Dom told Sputnik Africa.

"Taking these realities into account means ending the war—in Palestine, Lebanon, and Syria. It means putting an end to the prolonged Israeli aggression and acknowledging the demands of the Russian-speaking Ukrainian people who have decided through a democratic referendum to join their motherland, Russia, which best protects their interests," he said.

Not accepting these "shifts of the tectonic plates that have taken place" would lead Washington and the Western world "to the beginning of the real decadence," the expert concluded.
