The BRICS bloc has become a formidable force. It's become a force to be reckoned with, the South African expert emphasized in an interview with Sputnik Africa.
Business cooperation between the BRICS countries and Russia is actively growing, despite the fact that Russia, chairing the association in 2024, is under Western sanctions, Dr. Nonkululeko Mantula, the Global South Queen Media House founder and the Head of Communication for BRICS Business Women's Alliance South African Chapter, told Sputnik Africa.
"Russia […] has been an eye-opener that these sanctions are not something we should be lamenting about, but we as the Global South can start working towards making sure that these sanctions don't hinder us when we work together collectively," she said.
Russia’s efforts to foster collaboration and mutual benefit with the Global South countries are very impressive, Mantula said, drawing parallels to the successful last year's Russia-Africa Summit and the BRICS Business Forum recently held in Moscow.
"I believe that Russia will continue to work well with every other country within the Global South and ensure trade, ensure growth, ensure mutual beneficiation, sustainable development and addressing some of the ills that we have seen in this multipolar world," she stated.
The expert also emphasized Russia’s input in woman led businesses development within BRICS, referring to activities held by the BRICS Women's Business Alliance chapter in Russia.
