World Bank Raises Forecast for Russia's GDP Growth in 2024 to 3.2%
10:31 18.10.2024 (Updated: 12:42 18.10.2024) MOSCOW (Sputnik) - Russia's economy will grow in 2024 by 0.3 percentage points to 3.2% compared to the June estimate, and by 0.2 percentage points to 1.6% in 2025, the World Bank said in a statement.
The
World Bank stated that Russian GDP growth will be 1.6% in 2025, and 1.1% in 2026. For comparison, in June, the bank's experts forecast Russian economic growth at 2.9% in 2024 and 1.4% in 2025.
"The expected sharp slowdown of growth in Russia in 2025 is likely to result in a slower pace of economic expansion for the region as a whole to 2.6 percent in 2025, from 3.3 percent in 2024," the statement added.
According to the forecast of the Russian Ministry of Economic Development, Russia's GDP will
